ABOUT ME

Taylor Hunter

Where did you go to school? Where did you grow up?

I’m originally from Yakima, WA. We moved to Idaho when I was in elementary school. I ended up learning ballet and danced in the Nutcracker five years in a row. I also got as far as a green belt in Tae Kwon Do, which is about halfway to a level one black belt. Though several colleges offered scholarships to me, I chose the one closest to home, Northwest Nazarene University because of its outstanding reputation for Engineering.

Who are your biggest creative influences?

I’m inspired by people who take a stand for what they believe in. Sometimes this tracks with current events, but sometimes if puts me in the corner. I take my faith seriously. So I’m happy to crank up King & Country, or crack open my Bible, or listen to an amazing sermon. Just because a thing is called “progressive” doesn’t make it progressive. I love discovering likeminded creatives on Pinterest and Instagram. And I enjoy collecting autographs and already have them from Chris Pratt, Robert Downey Jr., and Simon Pegg.

Will you come to my school / library / town?

I love visiting with my readers! There are usually three ways author events happen for me:

  1. I will sometimes (but not very often now because of the pandemic and my work schedule) plan an event at a local bookstore or library if I’m already traveling to visit friends and family.
  2. A bookstore or school invites me to visit. So, the best way you can help get me to your town is to tell your bookseller / teacher / librarian that would like me to visit.
  3. Perhaps the best way is something I’ll be exploring soon: Facebook Live events. (Follow me on FB so you’ll see when those happen)

Can I interview you?

All publicity requests can go to my publisher: support@prepareforrainpress.com

How can I write you a letter / send you something?

Squee! I love receiving letters and emails from my readers! For email, you can fill out the form on my contact page…and you will also find the address for my P.O. box there.

Please know that I do my best to reply to everything. But sometimes I don’t always have time. Other great ways to interact with me are on my Instagram and Pinterest (in that bar below 😏) where I’m quite responsive to questions in the comments or take questions on my Instagram stories.
